Using the 8900NET GUI

b. Double click on the .exe ﬁle and extract the ﬁles to the temporary

directory.

These ﬁles will be extracted:

• xic3223c.exe – the Xitami installation ﬁle,

• defaults.cfg – an FTPD conﬁguration ﬁle that has been modiﬁed

speciﬁcally for Grass Valley software downloads, and

• ftpusers.sms – the FTPD’s admin ﬁle specifying user names and

passwords network access to ﬁles in the ftp server directories.

4. Run the Xitami installation program.

a. Double Click on xic3223c.exe. You will see the Xitami Welcome

(Figure 23).

b. Click on Next >.
